Filtering farm expenses by category helps you quickly view expenses that belong to a specific area of your farm operations.

Instead of reviewing every expense recorded on the farm, you can use the category filter to display only the expenses grouped under a selected category. For example, you may filter the overview to show only feed expenses, medication costs, transportation expenses, labour costs, or farm maintenance expenses.

This makes it easier to review spending, locate specific expense records, compare costs within a category, and prepare organised financial information when balancing your farm accounts.

Step 1: Open Farm Expenses

From your Pigax dashboard, open the main menu.

Click Expenses, and then select Farm Expenses.

Pigax will display the farm expense overview. This page shows all the farm expenses that have been recorded on your farm.

Step 2: Locate the category filter

On the farm expense overview, locate the category filter at the top-left side of the page, just below the Add New button.

The filter allows you to select one of the farm expense categories that have already been created on your farm.

Step 3: Open the category list

Click the category filter.

Pigax will display a list of all the available farm expense categories on your farm.

Step 4: Select a category

Select the category whose expenses you want to view.

Pigax will immediately update the farm expense overview and display only the expenses assigned to the selected category.

You can now review all the expenses grouped under that category without going through unrelated expense records.

Step 5: Review the filtered expenses

Use the filtered overview to review the expenses in the selected category.

This can help you check individual expense records, understand how much has been spent in a particular area, and prepare more organised information for farm accounting and financial review.
